Bishop Áron Márton expected the Hungarian society which became a minority aft er the Treaty of Trianon to be able to recover. He thought that being in minority was a starting point in the life of the nation. He showed the dignity of living in minority through universal moral values. He claimed that a person living in minority would have moral surplus and so he or she would be able to overcome this diffi cult situation.
